The Indonesian Petroleum Association presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to a figure with great contribution to the advancement of the country’s oil and gas industry, Arifin Panigoro, at the 46th IPA Convention and Exhibition Gala Dinner in 2022 at the Jakarta Convention Center, Thursday (22/9).
The President of IPA Irtiza Sayyed in his remarks at the Gala Dinner said that this award is not only a form of appreciation for Arifin Panigoro’s work and contribution to the Indonesian oil and gas world but also a source of inspiration for oil and gas people to keep the good work and contribute to the progress of the Indonesian economy.
“Arifin Panigoro will always be a friend and colleague, a leader and inspiration for the oil and gas industry players in Indonesia,” he said.
He described how, over the decades, Arifin had proven his extraordinary vision, his undying perseverance and dedication, and his great contribution to humanity by providing energy for Indonesia.
“His contribution has given many people a better life by providing energy for Indonesia,” he said.
Meanwhile, the wife of the late Arifin Panigoro, Raisis Panigoro, expressed her gratitude for the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by IPA to Arifin Panigoro. She said that in his life, Arifin Panigoro was a person who had high determination and commitment to running the oil and gas business, which is known for its High Risk and High Capital nature.
“Thanks to his persistence, dedication and commitment, Medco Energy International has become one of the formidable oil and gas companies with both national and global reputation,” she said.
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif and the former Minister of Mining and Energy for the 1978-1988 Period, Subroto, took part in the Gala Dinner and the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award. The award was received by the wife of the late Arifin Panigoro, Raisis Panigoro, accompanied by his children Yaser Raimi Panigoro and Maera Panigoro.
